Jiahua Wu
Hi! I am an Associate Professor of Operations at Imperial Business School, Imperial College London. My research examines how pricing, information, and other incentives shape performance in markets and operations. My recent projects focus on technology-enabled markets, including online platforms and AI-enabled services. Broadly, my work sits at the intersection of operations and economics, and asks how firms and platforms should design policies when agents, human or AI, act in their own self-interest.
I received my Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. I also hold a master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto and a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University.
To prospective students: I am looking for highly motivated PhD students and research assistants with strong mathematical training. If you are interested in working with me, please email me your CV, transcripts, and any other materials that would help demonstrate your research potential.
